“A voice reminiscent of Gordon Lightfoot.” -Daphne Rye
Mike is active with various musical projects at his Del Webb active adult community, including the bands Vintage Vibes and the Beach Nuts. There he also runs an acoustic song circle and is an instructor for the Guitars for Veterans program. He’s a fixture at open mic nights in Helotes and has studied voice at the Sage Music School in San Antonio.
“Resonant and soulful voice!”- Austin Jimison
“The perfect fit for our community pool party.” -Devon Shipley
Mike was introduced to Jimmy Buffett’s music by a college fraternity brother who would play his songs on guitar. He was captivated by the way Jimmy’s songs magically whisked him from bustle of Center City Philadelphia to a beach on Martinique. It was years later when he walked into a bar where a Parrot Head Club meeting just happened to be going on. He joined on the spot. That led him to pick up a guitar himself and craft his lighthearted style that caters to audiences who might not be able to afford a yacht and are yearning for the next best thing.
Mike is actively broadening his exposure to new audiences throughout central and south Texas and ports of call beyond. In addition to his solo work, he continues to develop projects with the Beach Nuts, Vintage Vibes, and other collaborative projects. He is actively composing new original material and plans to release a CD of his songs within the next year.
“Better than a sharp stick in the eye!”- Kimberly Ann
